1. Introduction

1.1 System requirements

It is compatible with version 5 browsers with the exception of IE5 on the Apple Macintosh, which does not display Tablebuilder correctly (for Macintosh OS9 users we recommend Mozilla 1.2.1). Javascript and cookies must be enabled in your browser. It is usable on displays set to 1024 x 768 pixels but 1152 x 864 or above is recommended for the best experience on wide product layouts. Pop-ups must be allowed in order to view the page specific help, so if you have a pop-up blocker installed please configure it to allow pop-ups from this site.

1.1.1 Browser printing

In Internet Explorer, when printing some of the wider products within the Control Centre, you will need to manually set your printer to landscape page layout in order to prevent clipping of the content.

1.1.2 Adobe Acrobat

You will require Adobe Acrobat Reader version 5.0 or above in order to view the PDFs generated from the Control Centre. Acrobat reader is free and available from the Adobe website.

1.2 About Actim

The Actim Index is a statistical ranking of players for the Barclays Premier League and Coca-Cola Championship, which is calculated weekly, every Tuesday and Thursday respectively. For more information on the Actim Index and how it works please see the Actim FAQs.

2. General information

2.1 Your account

When your Control Centre user account is set-up it is attributed to a particular parent company and company. This enables certain actions within the Control Centre to be shared with your colleagues. Whenever an action in the Control Centre is attributed to your client or customer group, rather than just your user account, this overview and any page specific help pages will tell you. You can change your password and set your default league on the My Account pages.

2.2 Licenses

If you have an account in the Control Centre, your company will own a license to use the site and the products it creates. Your company will have a specific number of user accounts, which it can allocate to its staff.

2.4 XML DTDs

You can contact us to request a copy of the Actim Index XML DTD if required. Note: These are not publicly accessible on the Internet, should not be made public and are not referenced from the XML documents produced by the Control Centre.

2.5 Last Index date

In the top left hand side of the Control Centre is shown the date of the last match to be included in the current Actim Index statistics. Most of the time, this shows the date of the last indexed match for your default league, except when changing to another league in any of the product pages when it will then display the date of the last match for the league you are currently viewing for that product. This is useful for reference when creating products to ensure that the statistics include all matches you require/ expect.

2.6 Last product generation

On the top right-hand side the Control Centre displays details of your last product generation. This reports on the latest product generation available on the My downloads page.
