2 Products

Each product is accessed individually via the navigation. On the player top 5, the player top x and the player enhanced top x page you will immediately see the latest index rankings for your default league and the Control Centre's current season. On the other product pages you will see a set of user defined options which allow you to define the parameters for the product. You can then preview the product on screen and amend the parameters as required. Once you are happy with the preview you can then generate the previewed product in the formats that are available for that product. When you generate a product the system adds the product generation job to your list of generations on the My Downloads page.

For more information on each specific product you can click the [Product Definition] link given on each product page.

3 Tablebuilder

Tablebuilder enables you to create your own customised tables of Actim Stats. The customised tables are available for on-screen display, or can be copy and pasted into excel. The following points provide a basic overview of how to use Tablebuilder.

3.1 Navigation within Tablebuilder

When you select Tablebuilder, six tabs will be displayed - Introduction, Filter, Players, Columns, Table and Save / Load. The introduction provides a set of basic instructions for the following five tabs. To build a customised table, you are required to select a number of options (by drop-down box or selecting boxes) under each of the remaining five tabs as described below.

  • The Filter tab is used to create a filter to produce a set of players to be displayed on the left hand side of the table. You need to select a season or date range and a league (either the Barclays Premier League or the Coca-Cola Championship). If you like, you can also filter the list of players selected by club, nationality/country and position and define the number of players to be returned (up to a maximum of 25, which is the default).
  • Using the Players tab you can then, if you wish, select a specific sub-set of these players by player name.
  • The Columns tab is then used to define the contents of the table. There are 38 items you could include in your table, most of which either revolve around player actions (on target shots, goals, tackles, passes etc) or player characteristics (age, club, position etc).
  • Once you are happy with the contents of your table, you must select preview to view your table on the Table tab.
  • Finally, the Save / Load tab is used to save your table for later use either by you, or other users in your company. You can also use this tab to load a previously saved configuration or start a new table.

At any stage you can change items in your table by selecting the appropriate tab. If you do change any options, you will need to re-click the preview button on the columns tab. Your table will then be updated on the table tab.

4 My downloads

The 'my downloads' page shows all completed and "in progress" generations of products from the Control Centre for your user account. If a product has been completed and has not expired, then the file name is click-able and you can download the product instance to your local computer. Product generations expire after 24 hours.

Once a product is generated its contents do not change (i.e. it is a snapshot of a particular product at a particular time).
